The short version: the GoBits app runs on your device. Your API keys, agent transcripts and workspace files stay there. The optional GoBits Cloud stores your account, synced office and order history, plus anything you choose to share. This website has no signup form; it collects only anonymous analytics if you accept them.
1. Who we are
GoBits is operated by [Your legal entity] ("GoBits", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy for GoBits Cloud and this website. You can reach us at hello@syclientlabs.com.
2. The GoBits app (runs on your computer)
The GoBits app runs on your own device. We do not receive the data they process. Specifically:
- Settings, office layout, Bits, orders, transcripts and checkpoints are stored locally on your device.
- API keys are kept in memory by default. If you turn on Remember key, the key is stored on your device by the app. Keys are never sent to us and are never included in exports.
- AI providers. To do their work, Bits send your orders, instructions and relevant tool results (for example the text of a file or web page) directly from your computer to the AI provider you configure, such as DeepSeek, OpenAI, xAI, Anthropic or a custom endpoint. That provider's own privacy policy and terms apply to that data. The offline mock provider sends nothing.
- Web requests. When a Bit fetches a web page, the request goes from your computer to that website.
3. GoBits Cloud (optional, invite-only)
If you sign in to GoBits Cloud, we process:

GoBits Cloud never runs agent tools and never receives your API keys or transcripts. It only receives file contents when you turn on file sync and pick individual files.
4. This website
This website has no account, signup or invite form. It does not collect your email address through a form. If you email us, we receive your address and message so we can reply.
Legal bases (where the GDPR, UK GDPR, Turkey's KVKK or similar laws apply): your consent for optional analytics; performance of a contract for GoBits Cloud accounts; and our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure.
5. Cookies, local storage and analytics
This website sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. It uses your browser's local storage for one thing it needs: remembering your cookie choice (key gobits_consent).
The home page also shows Product Hunt badge images, which your browser loads directly from Product Hunt (api.producthunt.com and ph-files.imgix.net). Like any image request, this shares your IP address and browser details with Product Hunt. Product Hunt's server may also set a short-lived security cookie on that request (__cf_bm, from its Cloudflare bot protection, which expires after about 30 minutes). We don't set or read that cookie, it isn't used for advertising, and Product Hunt's own privacy policy applies to those requests. These are plain images, not scripts: we add no tracking to them.
Analytics are off unless you click Accept in the cookie banner. If enabled, we use a privacy-friendly analytics service (such as Plausible) that measures page views and button clicks in aggregate, without building profiles of individual visitors. You can change your choice anytime with the link in the footer.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run GoBits, under contracts that limit their use of it: hosting and database providers, our authentication provider, our email provider and, if you accept analytics, our analytics provider. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users. Some providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- Support emails: up to 24 months after the conversation ends, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Cloud account data: while your account is active. We delete it within 30 days of account deletion, except where the law requires us to keep it.
- Security logs: up to 90 days.
8. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit, access controls and row-level security in our database, and we store cloud invite codes only as one-way hashes. No system is perfectly secure. If you find a vulnerability, please email hello@syclientlabs.com.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, email hello@syclientlabs.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Children
GoBits is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the app.
