About GoBits

A small office
for serious work.

GoBits is a local-first AI agent app with a cozy pixel office. Behind the little desks is a simple idea: AI should finish the work, not just start the conversation.

Why we built it

AI could write a paragraph.
It still couldn’t finish the job.

We kept running into the same gap. A model could draft a plan, summarise a file or suggest a fix, but turning that into a finished deliverable meant a dozen tabs, copied text, lost context and one more “where did I save that?” moment.

So we built an office.

GoBits gives the work a place to happen. Max, the lead Bit, takes your order, writes a plan on the whiteboard and briefs the right specialists. The Bits research, write, analyse and edit at their desks, using real tools on your computer. The finished result lands in the Delivery Box.

The pixel art is not a gimmick. It makes an agent system legible: you can see who is working, what they are doing and when they need you.

And kept you in charge.

Every risky step pauses for your approval. Commands run in a folder you choose. Every run saves a checkpoint you can inspect and revert. Your API key goes from your computer to your provider, never to us.

A little magic is fine. Losing control of your files is not.

Local-first by defaultYour workspace is a folder on your computer. Files, transcripts and checkpoints stay there. GoBits Cloud is optional, never required.
Your key, your billBring your own API key and pay your provider directly. No hidden markup, no lock-in, no key sitting on someone else’s server.
Approval over autopilotThe Bits can move quickly, but the important moments come back to you: a shell command, a file outside the workspace, a plan worth checking twice.
Craft over noiseSmall details matter: a readable plan, a clear Delivery Box, a checkpoint that actually works. We would rather ship one thoughtful improvement than ten loud ones.

GoBits is built by Syclient, a small independent software studio. We like tools that feel warm, stay out of the way and leave you in control. We are building GoBits carefully, one small improvement at a time.

Local by design

The app runs on your machine. There is no GoBits server between your work and your files.

Honest about limits

AI makes mistakes. GoBits shows its checks, its costs and its sources, so you can decide what to trust.
